In order to enhance the knowledge of bonded factory employees on the customs clearance and account management system for bonded goods, and to strengthen their awareness of integrity and anti-fraud, the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance in Taichung held a special seminar and comprehensive symposium for bonded factory bonded business personnel on May 15, 2015. The bonded factory employees participated enthusiastically.
Taichung Customs said that the content of this seminar covers bonded system regulations, cargo customs clearance practices, bookkeeping essentials and audit priorities, with special emphasis on common illegal transshipment customs clearance patterns and legal provisions. Through the course, participants gained a deeper understanding of the control process of customs clearance and entrusted processing of bonded goods and the importance of accurate record keeping, which helped to improve overall management efficiency and legal compliance awareness. In addition, the event specially arranged special lectures on integrity and anti-fraud to remind participants to guard against the risks of corruption in the public and private sectors and emphasize the core values of "corporate integrity and transparent management". In response to common fraud methods in recent years, such as impersonating government agencies, defrauding account passwords or funds, etc., practical explanations and anti-fraud awareness promotion are provided to strengthen practitioners' ability to identify and prevent fraud and create a safe trading environment.
Taichung Customs further stated that the bonded system is of great significance to domestic industrial development and international supply chain competitiveness. It hopes to assist bonded factories in improving management systems and implementing internal controls through continuous professional training and legal publicity, jointly promote government anti-corruption policies and corporate integrity culture, and create a safe and transparent operating environment.
