In order to meet the customs clearance needs of manufacturers and the public, Kaohsiung Customs will continue to handle customs clearance for import and export goods and mail parcels during the 114th Dragon Boat Festival holiday (May 30 to June 1) in the spirit of "service is not closed". The relevant measures are as follows:
1. General import and export clearance cases on the day before the consecutive holidays (May 29), except for special cases, will be processed on the same day.
2. Dragon Boat Festival consecutive holidays (May 30 to June 1):
(I) Customs clearance of import and export goods: from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, if you need to handle customs clearance business, you do not need to apply in advance, you can directly contact the duty personnel of the customs (customs clearance of seaborne import goods is concentrated in Xiaogang Branch Customs). The above opening hours are regarded as normal office hours for the inspection of import and export goods, and no special inspection fee is charged.
(ii) Inspection and testing: The inspection and testing work will be conducted at the Inspection and Testing Station at Container Center No. 5 at Pier 74 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. However, if there is any machine failure at the Inspection and Testing Station No. 5, a separate announcement will be made. (The first backup inspection site is the 4th container center inspection station; the second backup inspection site is the 6th container center inspection station.)
(III) Parcel post customs clearance operations: In accordance with the business hours of the post office, international parcel post customs clearance will be handled on May 30 (Friday). The Kaohsiung Postal Division of Business Unit 1 will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; the Tainan Postal Division of the Chia-Nan Branch will operate from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and both will have staff on duty.
(IV) Customs clearance for sea and air passengers: Customs clearance will be handled normally according to the arrival and departure times of ships and planes.
In order to provide more comprehensive services, Kaohsiung Customs will set up an emergency service window during the aforementioned consecutive holidays. The contact numbers are as shown in the attached table. The public is welcome to make use of it.
