In the digital age, the methods of corporate income tax settlement, declaration and payment are more diverse and convenient. You can complete declaration and payment e-financed without going to the IRS or financial institutions.
The Ministry of Finance's Kaohsiung National Taxation Bureau stated that in response to the impact of the U.S. "reciprocal tariff" policy, the 2014 income tax settlement declaration and payment period has been extended to May 1 to June 30, 2015. During the declaration period, profit-making enterprises can use business certificates or simple authentication to log in to the Ministry of Finance's electronic declaration and tax payment service website (https://tax.nat.gov.tw) to complete the settlement declaration. When the declaration calculation is completed, you can choose to pay taxes online and complete the tax payment with a chip-based debit card, credit card (limited to profit-making enterprises or responsible person cards) or current deposit account (limited to logging in with business certificates). If you do not pay taxes online, you can also use an ATM to transfer funds or pay at the counter of a financial institution that collects taxes on your behalf. For taxes below NT$30,000, you can pay at any of the four major convenience stores (President, FamilyMart, Circle K, and Hi-Life) with a barcoded payment slip.
The Bureau has compiled the 2014 profit-making enterprise income tax settlement declaration and payment methods as follows:
The bureau further stated that for-profit businesses that are affected by the U.S. reciprocal tariff policy and are unable to pay taxes in full within the prescribed payment period may apply for an extension or installment payment of taxes in accordance with regulations, with no limit on the amount and no interest accrued. The extension period is up to one year, and the installment period is up to three years (36 installments).
